All
of the four guest rooms, including the suite with private living room,
are attractively furnished; three rooms have en suite facilities.
The lounge and dining area, which with the rest of Bowood Lodge have
recently been redecorated, are furnished to provide a cool and calm
ambiance. Satellite television and broadband internet facilities are available.
All rooms look out onto the well-cared gardens and we strive to provide
the perfect atmosphere for our guests to relax and enjoy the peaceful
surroundings.
A full home-cooked breakfast and/or Continental is available from 7:00
am to 10:00 am or at other times by prior arrangement. Evening
meals are not normally provided but we are happy to consider our guests
requests. Dinner orders (if required) must be made at breakfast time.
Wines and spirits are available and we operate
an "honesty bar" policy. Alternatively, guests may bring their own
supplies.
In spite of considerable recent improvements, public utilities in Harare
do still occasionally fail and, for the comfort of our guests, we have
independent electrical generator and water facilities.
Check-in
time is from 2:00 pm on the day of arrival and we ask that you contact
us in advance if you expect to arrive earlier or after 8:00 pm. On
the final day of their visit, guests are requested to check out by 11:00
am but we recognise that travel arrangements may impose difficulties; if
so, please let us know in advance.
A swimming pool and a clay tennis court are available for the use of our
guests. Tennis equipment can be provided, but, it is however advisable
to bring your own if you are a pro. We can also assist you to arrange
a game of golf at the various excellent golf courses nearby such as
Wingate, Chapman or Royal Harare Golf Course. There are also a number of
wildlife parks a short journey from Harare which guests would enjoy
visiting.
