What Other Visitors Experienced

Friendly place to stay. The room was comfortable. The house and grounds are inviting. It was like staying with friends or relatives that want you to be there. Christine even arranged for Lance to give us a ride to a shopping area. Christine and her daughter Kirstin are great host. Tendai makes a great breakfast. I appreciated the food warmer so plates and food are kept warm. Laundry can be taken care of for a nominal cost. We enjoyed treating other guest with the honesty bar in the dining area. I will come back to this lodge when I visit Harare again. I hope it will be soon.

I am a regular business traveller to Harare and Christine and her staff at Bowood Lodge make a business trip to Harare seamless and comfortable. If you want to be treated like family and have convenient location in the heart of Harare, Bowood is the place to stay.

Looking for a place to just get away and enjoy the beauty of the African sun? Check into Bowood Lodge. Located in the peaceful suburb of Mount Pleasant, this B&B was the perfect getaway for my girlfriend and I. Very peaceful and our hosts were great. We enjoyed our stay and we're definitely going back. The best feature, the heavenly presence of the garden.

Another lovely stay at Bowood. Christine and Kirsten are fantastic hosts and the lodge is as comfortable as ever and the large garden is a beautiful spot to relax in. Bowood Is a five minute walk from Arundel shops with easy access to supermarket, shops, restaurants and coffee shops. Recommended for short and long stays.

I have just spent 4 nights at Bowood Lodge, in one of the largest rooms I have ever slept in, with a bathroom to match - the bathroom was bigger than my bedroom at home. I was very well cared for by the staff, who really had a personal touch. I shared the garden with three tame guinea fowl and numerous wild birds, and made full use of the lovely swimming pool.

Bowood Lodge accomodation is very clean, comfortable and pleasant. The owners and their family are extremely welcoming and go above and beyond for their guests so that they have an enjoyable stay -- I will definitely stay at Bowood Lodge if and when I return to Harare.
